How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie

 It all depends on various factors including the size of your mouth and the amount of saliva.

According to Time Magazine, the researchers found that it took about 1,000 licks to reach the center, and that it took 2,500 to reach the Tootsie Pop center. The difference in looks is mainly the size of the Tootsie Pop diameter: 1.063 inches. February 11, 2015

A study by Purdue University students found that it took an average of 364 likes to get a "leak machine" to reach the Tootsie Pop Center. An average of 252 licks when 20 students tried.

Another study from the University of Michigan found that Tutsi took 411 licks to go to the center of a Tootsie Pop. A 1996 study by undergraduates at Swarthmore College found that it took an average of 144 licks (70 to 222) to reach the Tootsie Pop Center.
